You do not need this tool to reset the service light. The information is in your handbook and involves pressing and holding the trip whilst turning the clock button to the right. It may well be slight variation of this method as that is the one for a 2001 Golf. You can do it yourself really easily if you read up on "service light reset" in your handbook. its on the dash about mid way/the cover even has a insignia on it/has to be popped and its under that cover But you need an OBD II reader to reset it. Don't try using any jumpers or anything like that. Auto parts : Fuel Sending Unit Acura 1995 . Fuel Tank Selector Switch Alfa Romeo 1996 . Fuel/Oil Cooler Line Repair Kit Audi 1997 . Isuzu . How to Change a Starter in a 2003 Mazda 6Mazda introduced the Mazda 6 in 2002 to the car-buying world and the car quickly gained popularity among drivers. Buyers will find one of two different engines included in the car. You'll have the 2.5-liter four-cylinder or the 3.7-liter V6 engines. Changing the starter is similar with both. The most important thing, when getting a replacement starter, is that you get one that is new or at least remanufactured, rather than one that has been rebuilt, as the former are likely to be more reliable. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Marker Masking tape Metric socket set Metric wrench set Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal by loosening the nut with a wrench and pulling the terminal away from the battery. 2 Unclip the top from the air cleaner and lift it away from the air box. Unclip the retainer clips from the air box and pull it away from the engine. The air cleaner box looks like a black box with a large hose coming out of it. 3 Remove the intake manifold support brackets using a ratchet and socket. The intake manifold looks like a series of pipes going into the engine. 4 Tag the electrical wires on the starter noting their proper locations and then disconnect them from the starter using a wrench to remove the nuts. A couple of the wires will have plugs on them. 5 Remove the bolts from the starter using a socket and ratchet. There is one bolt that you will have difficulty getting the socket on, so you will have to use a wrench to remove that one. Pull the starter away from the engine. You will have to wiggle and twist the starter to work it off and out of the engine, but it's not that hard to do. 6 Put the new starter in place and tighten the bolts using the ratchet and socket. Remember that one of the bolts will need to go back on with a wrench. Reconnect the wires according to the way you labeled them. Tighten the ones held on with a nut with the wrench and plug the others in. 7 Put the intake manifold bracket back on the car and tighten the bolts with a socket and ratchet. Put the air cleaner box back on the car and secure it with the clips. Clip the air box cover back onto the air cleaner. 8 Reconnect the negative battery terminal and tighten the nut with a wrench. Start the car to test the new starter. Tips & Warnings Always disconnect the negative battery terminal as instructed. Failure to do so will put you at risk for electrical shock, and you may also damage other electrical components when the electricity for the battery arcs.
Isuzu . How to Change the Starter on a 1998 S10The 1998 Chevy S10 could have one of three different engines. However, the process to change the starter is the same for all three S10 engines. When selecting the replacement starter, you should know there is a big difference between a rebuilt starter and a remanufactured one. A remanufactured starter has all new parts, while the other may not. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Automobile jack Jack stand Wheel chocks Marker Masking tape Metric socket set Metric wrench set Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal using a wrench to loosen the nut. Place a pair of wheel chocks behind the rear tires of the truck. 2 Raise the front of the truck on the driver's side with a floor jack, and place a jack stand under the frame near the jacking point. Raise the jack stand up to the frame of the truck. 3 Crawl under the car on the driver's side and locate the starter. The starter is round with electrical wires near the transmission. Mark the wire locations using a marker and masking tape. Disconnect the wires using a wrench to remove the nuts and pulling the wires away from the starter. 4 Remove the bolts from the starter using a ratchet and socket, and pull the starter away from the engine. 5 Put the new starter in place on the engine, and tighten the bolts with the socket and ratchet. Reconnect the wires using a wrench to tighten the nuts. Remove the jack stand from under the truck and lower the truck back to the ground. 6 Reconnect the negative battery terminal, and then start the truck to test the new starter. Tips & Warnings Safety glasses will prevent eye injuries when you are working under the truck. Always be sure to disconnect the battery as instructed or you risk electrical shock. *O Subcontracted repairs: This area should show all the work that was sent out of the shop to be done by a specialist. The total costs should be repeated in the Totals column. 0 Totals: All the charges in the previous sections are repeated and totaled in this column. You pay the final figure. In addition, every invoice should have a space for 0 a written estimate and 0 a number where you can be reached if necessary. You'll be asked to sign the estimate. Be sure to read the small print above 0 the signature line before you sign. The small print should cover only your approval of the estimate and the fact that you're willing to allow the technicians to drive your vehicle in order to test, diagnose, and repair it. The reverse side of the invoice often contains information about the shop's warranty and the mechanic's lien, which allows service facilities in some states to sell your vehicle if you refuse to pay for services. For this reason, if a dispute occurs, you should always pay your bill and then seek restitution. As I mentioned earlier, credit cards really come in handy in these situations. To get satisfaction, be sure to read the section called "Complaining Effectively," later in this chapter. 998

You should aim for "most favored customer" status. Once you've discovered an outstanding automotive shop, the ball is in your court when it comes to establishing a good and lasting relationship that will have them going out of their way to make you happy. Even though most small businesses are struggling to stay alive these days, a good independent ser vice facility is an exception. Every outstanding one that I've encountered has had more business than time to deal with it. .Chapter 22: When All Else Fails: Finding and Dealing with a Good Mechanic A EQ Isuzu . 2001 olds coming down the hill today car stating make a moaning noise and shifted hard Once got home and started car again the noise went away and the car no longer shifted hard?

He hadn't accepted a new cus tomer in more than five years, and it took a referral from an outstanding car restorer, plus my credentials as an automotive writer and car freak, plus the fact that I had restored Honeybun myself, plus all my charm and my assur ances that I would never bother him with piddly maintenance, to get him to agree to be there for me if something came up that I couldn't handle myself. We became good friends, in no small part because I faithfully followed these Isuzu . Get your vehicle into the shop early (by 8:30 or 9:00 a.m. at the latest) if you hope to get it out the same day. If you're on your way to work, allow sufficient time to give the technician or service writer a full account of what you want done or what you've found to be wrong with the car. Sometimes a test drive helps to demonstrate the problem, so make sure that you have the time to accompany the mechanic if possible. Bring along a written list of the things you want serviced or repaired. Include a phone number where you can be reached if questions arise or if the work is going to cost more than was originally estimated. On your list, be as specific as possible about the symptoms you've experienced. This is of great use to the technicians who work on the vehicle. It helps to organize the information in the following way: • What is happening ("The car stalls, pulls to the right, runs roughly, seems to be losing power, or is overheating.") Isuzu .
